Wer ist Dreschflegel?
Den Erhalt und die Weiterentwicklung der Kulturpflanzenvielfalt im Fokus, ist Dreschflegel eine Gruppe von Menschen, die auf achtzehn Höfen biologische Saatgutvermehrung und -züchtung betreiben und das erzeugte Saatgut über einen gemeinsam organisierten Versand verkaufen.
Bei der Zusammenarbeit wird besonderer Wert auf weitgehende Unabhängigkeit der einzelnen Betriebe gelegt. Alle Arbeiten bis zur fertigen Tüte werden auf den Höfen durchgeführt. In der Gruppe werden nur Entscheidungen gefällt, die von allen getragen werden.
Vielfalt kann nur durch viele Menschen an vielen Orten entstehen!
Mit über 800 altbewährten und neuen Gemüsesorten, Kräutern, Blumen und Spezialitäten möchte Dreschflegel eine breite Pflanzenvielfalt (wieder) nutzbar machen. Die treibende Idee seit 1990 war und ist es, Nutzpflanzen nicht nur zu erhalten, sondern zu nutzen, zu entwickeln und weiterzugeben.
Im Saatgutsortiment finden sich fast vergessene Gemüsesorten wie Herbstrüben oder Topinambur. Auch im Angebot gibt es bunte und ausgefallene Sorten wie farbenfrohe Möhren und Mais oder Dicke Bohnen.
Verschiedene Tomaten- und Salatsorten gibt es in großer Auswahl. Die Felder sollen bunt sein – daher bietet Dreschflegel eine Vielzahl an Kräutern und Blumen als Insekten- und Augenweide an. Für die Gärtner:innen von Dreschflegel ist Ökolandbau selbstverständlich. Dabei hangeln sie sich nicht an Richtlinien entlang, sondern handeln aus Überzeugung. Das Kollektiv arbeitet mit und an robusten Pflanzen, die gegenüber Klima- und Bodenbedingungen anpassungsfähig sind, gut schmecken und schön aussehen.
Das Saatgut eignet sich für Balkon- und Hausgärten. Im Angebot sind sowohl Sorten, die kinderleicht im Anbau sind, als auch Sorten mit besonderen Ansprüchen, die etwas Expertise und Erfahrung erfordern.
Das Team von Dreschflegel freut sich, wenn immer mehr Gärtner:innen mit ökologischem Saatgut ihren Balkon, Garten oder Acker bepflanzen.
